  Horses &  Adventures Polo Club

Full day Estancia in the Pampas & Polo Experience

Our team of leaders all around Argentina speak fluent English, and other languages, and know extensively their home region, the landscapes, culture, traditions and people, with the unique knowledge of their lifetime experience.

Horses & Adventures is an Argentine company, dedicated to incoming tourism. Our focus is oriented in the organization of horseback treks all around the country, willing to reach the most spectacular settings and places of Argentina on horseback. We have an important experience in the organization of tours in Argentina and we have an extensive knowledge of the country, always trying to find new destinations with the aim of bringing those unique secrets to our customers.

We are convinced that Argentina has a lot of things to offer and that it is a place in the world to be known. Not only for its interesting and rich culture but for its beautiful and diverse terrain that allows the visitor to travel through completely different landscapes, from the amazing and breathtaking Patagonia, to the colonial and colourful North-western Andes, going through the rich region of Mendoza, with its famous wineries and the highest summits of the Western Hemisphere. For those who love horses, the "Pampas" are no doubt the main highlight of Argentina. In this immense prairies, home to the "Gauchos", the so called Argentine Cowboy, you can ride a horse at your heart's content.

The richness of Argentina can be found in this immense region, full of cattle ranches, extense agriculture fields and superb estancias. Another subject that ought to be taken into account when we talk about Argentina is the food, that is always excellent and has the enough variety so as to please everybody's taste. From the world famous "Asado" and Argentine steak to the rustic, but delicious, cuisine of the northwest very rich in products of the land. On the other hand, Argentina because of the development of its economy, still has a big portion of its territory practically uninhabited and that is for sure a big prize considering the over population of most of the countries in the developed world.

For all these reasons and many more, we are waiting and willing to receive you all here and share together the many incredible secrets that we have in our land, that we are sure will surprise you.

If you have a free day in Buenos Aires and you want to do something completely different and exciting, this is a program that may suit you. We pick you up at your hotel at around 9 am and drive you to an exclusive estancia in the town of San Antonio de Areco, located 1:30 hs north from downtown. There we perform a horseback trek around the estancia with the aim of you to get to known how a ranch in Argentina works and enjoy the Pampas environment. Here you will have the chance to interact with the local “Gauchos” who will be able to tell you different aspects of the daily life of these mythical characters of the Argentinean tradition.

At around midday, we will go back to the main house of the estancia and enjoy a superb “asado” combined with excellent local wine. After we finish the meal, you can rest by the pool or sleep a well deserved “siesta” under an “Ombu” (typical Argentinean tree). At around 3 pm we leave the estancia and start our way back to the city. On the way, we make a short turn away and get to a small polo club, located in the town of Pilar, known world wide as the “Polo Capital”, for the enormous number of polo fields that you can find. Once there, we start with the “Polo Experience”. We will meet our instructor and the horses. After a short introductory talk where you will learn the basic rules, we will approach our horses and start with the lesson. Once you feel completely comfortable and safe with your horse we will provide you with a stick and start with the polo lesson, making it easy so that you can have a good time and learn the basic aspects of this sport. The duration of the lesson will be of around 2 hours and once we finish we will enjoy a tea with cookies and you will have the chance to try “Mate” the argentinean most traditional hot drink. No previous riding knowledge is required as we have horses for all the levels and everybody can try this experience. We only need you to be enthusiastic. Non riding partners are welcome to visit us and enjoy all the other aspects of the tour.
In the late afternoon, we will drive you back to your hotel.
